REMEMBRANCE MEETING

Sh. S Paul, a doyen of Photography, passed away on August 16, 2017, at the age of 88. A memorial meeting is organised by Working News Cameramen’s Association and Press Club of India on Wednesday September 06, 2017 at 4pm at Press Club on Raisina Road, New Delhi-110001.

Paul sahib as he was referred to by most photographers and colleagues, was self-taught who discovered his passion for photography as a teenager. He joined The Indian Express in the 1960s and retired from the newspaper in 1989. Paul sahib had an undying spirit and appetite for shooting photographs. He had explored several genres like street, photojournalism, landscape and portrait photography and with his strong technical knowledge; he could bring out beauty even in the most ordinary situations.

S.Paul was an active member of our Association. He was always enthusiastic about our bi-annual photo exhibitions and one of the first to send his work for show. He admired the efforts put into the exhibitions by WNCA members and at the same time he was a strong critic of work exhibited.

All are requested to participate.
