The association is based at New Delhi with members at state capitals working for regional language papers across the country. Local state-level associations of photo-journalists are members of this body and look after the larger interests of the fraternity.

The Association is also represented by senior members on the Press Council of India

WORKING NEWS CAMERMEN'S ASSOCIATION is the largest duly registered body of professional print and electronic media photo-journalists working for national and international media organizations.
