Dear Member
Dear Member
A REMINDER
Our 6th bi-annual exhibition: The Big Picture showcasing the photographic and Video work of our members is scheduled for April 21, 2023 to May 01, 2023. The show is in collaboration with India International Cenre, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.
I am writing this letter to invite entries from all members of WNCA for the exhibition. Like on earlier occasions, there is no specific theme for the exhibition but great, published/ unpublished work, or work that you may strongly feel about will add value to the show. You can also submit photo stories. Similarly, it is also proposed to show-case work by our members engaged with television news and documentary on large LCD screens during the exhibition.
A large number of print media photographers are also making video clip’s for online editions. We invite all such work for screening at the gallery. You could send us video clips in MPEG format running into 3 to 6 minutes. They will be arranged back to back as a loop.
Please send in your entries by March 10, 2023. The hi-res images could be e-mailed to: wncaexhibition@gmail.com.
Do keep in mind that we need high quality images that could be printed in large print size for the exhibition. Your work will be viewed by a sub-committee set up for the exhibition. Please indicate your preference for sequencing in the filename itself (e.g. filename could be: xxxxx-1; xxxxx-2, xxxxx-3).
In the absence of clarity from your end, the committee will decide sequence of display.
The ITPC fields like photographer’s name and captions must be completed. This will ensure no mix-up in captions and credits for your work.
In case anyone requires a letter from the Association to be submitted to your organization that the exhibition is NOT commercial in nature, it will be provided by us.
Enclosed please find a certificate (which should be duly accepted and signed, sent along the entery’s) is mandatory for any member to participate in the exhibition.
Also send us a brief resume of yours which could go along with your photos in the souvenir.
Please note that the exact number of photographs on display at the exhibition per photographer will depend on how many members send in their entries by the last date, March 10, 2023.
ACCEPTANCE OF WORK FOR EXHIBITION IS SOLELY AT DESCRETION OF WNCA
THE LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES March 10, 2023
along with the undertaking and brief resume
Kindly ensure that you have cleared subscription dues up to March 2022
Thanking you

International Federation of Journalists
Dear Colleagues,
We are urging all photographers not to sign the contracts. Our unions in France have written to AFP management calling on the company to withdraw the contracts and negotiate a fair collective agreement.
They have not done so. So we are launching a campaign of action to oppose the changes. Help us use our collective strength to stand up to exploitation and stand up for fair contracts.
If any of your members have received the contracts please let us know…and please ensure your freelance photographers are aware of the unions’ call not to sign the contracts.
We have set up a digital campaign letter targeting AFP. Please feature the campaign on your website. Please urge your members to take action now.
For all the campaign information see http://www.ifj.org/campaigns/afp-stop-the-rights-grabfair-contracts-for-all/
